Renewal, Joy & Jesus

Happy Sunday!
Here’s your Hope Note for the week:

“At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon.”  John 10:22-23

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

“I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.” John 12:46

Happy Hanukkah to all my friends celebrating this week!

If you don’t know the history of the Hanukkah or Festival of Lights here’s a short summary. Hanukkah celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, purity over adulteration, spirituality over materiality (see Chabad.org). Hanukkah is also known the Feast of Dedication because it celebrates the Maccabees’ victory over Greek oppression and the rededication of the Temple. The holiday is also known as Festival of Lights because God provided another miracle of provision following the miraculous deliverance. As Believers, we can also rejoice and reflect on times of miracle deliverance and provision in our own lives. Let us be mindful of all things that Jesus and His finished work of the Cross made available to us! Amen.

What are you thankful for? How can I pray for you today? Please comment below. Have a wonderful week! -Hope Coach Cheryl Lynne
